An annual celebration of the literary arts here in the center of Connecticut, the Connecticut Literary Festival is hosted by Real Art Ways—a nationally recognized alternative arts organization located in Hartford’s Parkville neighborhood. Join us for the inaugural festival on Saturday, October 5 from 10 AM to 6 PM: a day of panels, readings, food trucks, and a spectacular book fair.
Welcome to the 2019 Connecticut Literary Festival! In our inaugural year, we seek to bring together readers, writers, thinkers, presses, and literary enthusiasts from every corner of Connecticut. Our state has a rich literary history—from Harriet Beecher Stowe and Mark Twain to Ann Petry and Wallace Stevens to writers publishing today—and a soaring literacy rate. Connecticut reads! We have been without a state-wide literary gathering for a few years. Time for that to change. Join us this October to network, to read, to write, to share, to listen, to grow, and to celebrate the vibrant literary scene here in the Nutmeg State. If you love books, you’ll love it here.
